complex stratigraphy, as the Baths are built over successive architectural phases. In the 5th century BC, the area housed the <\/span><b class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-start-index=\"1808\">Sanctuary of Hestia<\/b><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-start-index=\"1827\"> of the Pisans (Southeast Building)<\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-start-index=\"1862\">. <\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-start-index=\"1862\">In the 1st century AD (65-67 AD), this was razed to construct the luxurious <\/span><b class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-start-index=\"1940\">House of Nero<\/b><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-start-index=\"1953\">, designed to host the emperor during his participation in the Games<\/span><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-start-index=\"2021\">. <\/span><\/p><p><span class=\"ng-star-inserted\" data-start-index=\"2021\">The final form of the East Baths was completed during the Severan period (late 2nd &#8211;
